Meet Erica
Erica is the Founder and Director of Counseling at AmWell Group PLLC, a group practice dedicated to providing inclusive mental health counseling and supportive services.
She provides individual and family therapy to adults, adolescents, and children, bringing a deep passion for working with children and a strong understanding of developmental stages. Erica believes in meeting children where they are emotionally and cognitively, and works at their pace to build trust, create safety, and foster lasting growth. She understands that honoring a child’s unique developmental needs is essential to supporting their healing and emotional resilience.
Erica also specializes in working with trauma, sexual assault, and domestic violence. She is passionate about empowering clients through compassionate, trauma-informed care that centers support and autonomy. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in safety, collaboration, and a deep respect for each client’s lived experience.
In addition to general mental health care, Erica offers expert forensic mental health services. She is specially trained to coordinate care with legal professionals and provide court-ordered mental health support with empathy and cultural sensitivity.
Erica believes that the therapeutic relationship should be grounded in authenticity and mutual respect—one that empowers, supports, and adapts to each client’s individual needs. She views clients as the experts in their own lives and tailors her therapeutic approach to promote self-determination and healing.
As Director of Counseling, Erica mentors and supervises clinical interns, helping them develop their skills in a supportive, educational environment. She provides hands-on guidance and ensures that interns are well-prepared to serve diverse populations while upholding ethical, legal, and professional standards. Erica is committed to fostering a workplace culture that prioritizes growth, collaboration, and clinician well-being.
