Meet Kayla
Kayla is a forensic and clinical counseling intern who brings real-world experience in residential and clinical mental health settings to her work with clients. Under the supervision of licensed professionals, she provides individual, family, and group therapy using a trauma-informed and client-centered approach. Kayla works closely with clients to build insight, strengthen coping skills, and foster emotional regulation, using evidence-based practices that emphasize empathy, collaboration, and resilience.
In her previous roles, Kayla supported clients navigating complex mental health conditions by providing emotional support, teaching daily living skills, facilitating therapeutic groups, and managing crisis situations. These experiences strengthened her clinical techniques and enhanced her ability to adapt her therapeutic approach to each individual’s needs—deepening the connections she builds with clients at AmWell Group PLLC.
Kayla has received specialized training in working with forensic-involved families, providing her with the tools to navigate the intersection of mental health and the legal system with care and professionalism. She is skilled in supporting families through high-conflict dynamics, and court-ordered services.
Kayla is passionate about providing ethical, culturally sensitive care. Above all, she is committed to creating a safe, respectful space where clients can heal, grow, and feel empowered.
